Welcome to my Website.

Thank you for stopping by my website.  I would love to help you find your next home or assist you in selling your existing home.  If there is anything I can do for you please don't hesitate to ask.

I was born, raised and educated in Michigan and moved to Indiana with my first "real" job when I was 22 years old, selling property for a land development company.  With the exception of 4 years in Chicago, I've been here ever since.

I spend most of my "free" time with my family.  My wife Wendy and I have a 5 year old daughter, Addison and I have a 35 year old son, Brad.  I can literally go from playing "Barbie" with my daughter to a round of golf with my son or from the Indianapolis Zoo to a baseball game at Victory Field in the same day and love every minute of it.  I am truly Blessed!

I also enjoy spending time with kids between the ages of 5 and 35.  I have done a substantial amount of mentoring "at risk" kids in a juvenile correctional facility and presently enjoy leading a church "small group" of junior high boys on Sunday mornings at Grace Community Church in Noblesville.  Obviously I enjoy spending time with young people and believe strongly in the importance of responsible adult guidance and leadership in their lives.

Finally, I enjoy a good round of golf, a baseball, football or basketball game, dinner out with great friends, or a good book, preferably about some aspect of our country's history.

Personal Background

I have lived in Hamilton county and specifically Fishers for over 8 years.  Before living in Fishers I lived in Lebanon in Boone county.  I am very familiar with both counties as well as Marion county (Indianapolis), especially the north side.

Personal Interests

I enjoy staying current on the political scene nationally and locally.  I believe it is important as a voter to do so.  After all, you can't believe everything every politician says, can you?  It's good to try to know the facts.

Professional Background

Professionally, I originally obtained my real estate license in Michigan over 30 years ago.  Since then I've worked in most areas of residential real estate.  For about 10 years I was a general contractor building residential homes mostly in Boone County, Indiana.  I also spent 9 years of my real estate career in the land development business in both Michigan and Indiana.  The balance of my real estate career has been spent in residential real estate helping buyers and sellers with their real estate needs.

I pride myself in giving the best possible service to all of my clients and have been awarded multiple customer service awards by both Century 21 and by an independent survey company surveying both buyers and sellers in the Indianapolis area.  I'm proud to say I have won the Indianapolis Monthly Magazine's 5 Star Customer Service Award for the past 3 consecutive years as one of the top 4% of realtors in the Indianapolis area.

Click on either "Buyers" or "Sellers" for more information concerning my customer service.

Professional Interests

Recently I have become a "short sale expert" taking multiple classes and obtaining my SFR (Short Sale Foreclosure Resource) designation by the National Association of Realtors.

In this economy with so many families struggling and falling behind in their mortgage payments, there are few of us who have made the investment of both time and money to get training not only in selling homes on a short sale status, but have also been trained in helping people keep the homes they have without having to short sell or be foreclosed upon.

There are laws in place that can help if people only know how to access the information.  People may not need to sell if they have a trained realtor to guide them through the process.  If however they have to sell due to circumstances beyond their control, I can make the process as quick and painless as possible with minimal negative effect on their credit status.

Education

I graduated from Okemos High school in Michigan and attended Lansing Community college after that.

I have had my real estate broker's license for many years.

Community Involvement

My family and I attend Grace Community church in Noblesville, Indiana.  I am involved as a small group leader for junior high boys at our church as well as a regular bible study attendee and various men's activities and studies.

I have volunteered at Shepard Community in Indianapolis in their after school program.

I've also mentored "at risk" boys for several years at the Juvenile Correctional Facilty at Plainfield, Indiana when it was located there.

Specialties

I enjoy working within all aspects of real estate, specifically first time home buyers and short sale listings.  Also I am involved in helping sellers downsize and entering into age 55 plus communities.
