Indy Cultural Trail is Now Open

The Indianapolis Cultural Trail: A Legacy of Gene & Marilyn Glick finally had its grand opening a couple weeks ago. This bike and pedestrian path is worth noting because of the connection it makes between neighborhoods, cultural districts and entertainment emenities. It is the downtown hub for the central Indiana greenway system.

The area cultural districts it connects include Fountain Square, Indiana Avenue, Mass Ave, The Canal & White River State Park, and the Wholesale District.

From the website:

The Cultural Trail will also connect with the Monon Trail, allowing visitors easy access to Broad Ripple Village from downtown.

The Cultural Trail is made possible by a large public and private collaboration led by Central Indiana Community Foundation, the City of Indianapolis and several not-for-profit organizations devoted to building a better city.

Check out ICT Facebook page for all kinds of updates about the Trail and what's going on around it.
